Also the attacks in the 1999 seem to carry less weight behind them. He have grown up to be a killer, and slowly and with Gon's kindness, he made him change his view. I highly recommend you watch both versions of Kurapika's battle with Uvo. It kinda made the 1999 version at least worth watching once. Most people here seem to prefer 2011 voices, but no one will ever beat 1999 Hisoka. If not, then go straight to 2011.obviously 2011,in the 1999 they didn't really follow the manga on some interesting parts which ruins the anime in my opinion, not to mention the graphics and voices! out], Why?
It feels darker and obviously it covers more of the story. There are some cool scenes in 1999 that are not better in 2011(just my opinion guys).
Plus suggesting them to watch a tv series, then 3 OVA series, then skip to the middle of another tv series (that is quite different in art and voice acting) makes it seems too complicated. You are right with how it can be complicated transitioning through the series and understand what order to watch everything. because quite literally any story, if you try reading the manga. Ive tried to watch some of the 1999 ver. I read the manga first, then started the anime and went concurrently with the manga and 1999 anime. You have a valid point there. But yeah, I believe all the characters seem less developed, but I felt that Killua was actually a totally different character, which is why I think it's so significant. But your right, I haven't read the manga, so this is me using the wrong references to stay true to the manga. But I would STRONGLY say that the 1999 version should be watched over the 2011 version if you want a solid character development and overall better characters.Honestly, what I liked about Killua was that he was so dark and bloodthirsty and Gon was what helped him change that. y por qué razón?
But the new is also pretty good and has the chimera ant arc.The 2011 version is better in my opinion. Leaving things up to the imagination is way more fun.
Be warned though, killua is a very different character(at least from the start) in 1999. Believe in yourself and the strength of others to defeat the enemy,Gon give almost everyone a chance, be it inherently bad or good.
They just have to do it, it's their job.1 I would say that this version is more true to the manga than the earlier version of the manga, based on this info. This is just my thoughts on the subject, and feel free to add anything, please.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castThis subreddit is dedicated to the Japanese manga and anime series Hunter X Hunter, written by Yoshihiro Togashi and adapted by Nippon Animation and Madhouse.
Many people won't try any "old" animation and Madhouse made an awesome job adapting the source material. He’s probably bi. 2011 is infinitely better. And hisoka's voice. with that said, its not unlikely that new hxh fans won't notice what you've noticed!when you compare the '2011' to '99', even the manga[! ;)New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castThis subreddit is dedicated to the Japanese manga and anime series Hunter X Hunter, written by Yoshihiro Togashi and adapted by Nippon Animation and Madhouse. I got all the way through, including the OVA's without knowing and I was so in love with the series as the end of the Greed Island Arc that I started looking around to see if their was ever anything past that. If not, then go straight to 2011. :DWhen comparing mangas to say "animes or movies or tv series" mangas are more 'cut and dry'[in the sense that the story elements are less fleshed/flushed? I also believe that Hisoka was also lightened up a little bit and Gon's character was rushed a bit before really understanding how he works, but Killua was by far the biggest change.I can agree with maybe me being a bit off on Hisoka since I'm not quite done with the 2011 version yet, it just seems to be the case a bit in the early part of the anime, but it seems to get better as they develop him later on. In the 2011 version (and probably the manga as well) Gon's really only true value is being a friend, not Killua's "light" as I believed he described it in the 1999 anime.i just want to start off by saying nice observations corylulu ^.^ , thanks for sharing them too!1999 version added fillers that "put the flesh" onto the bare skeleton of what the manga was. If you have time, watch both. But I do understand your point. From my experience after watching both (1999 version first) I actually had no clue there was a 2011 version oddly enough. You get to decide what the challenges are going to be, and you have to be focus on that outcome that it's have to turn out okay.Of course, everything could fail, but you have to take that risk for the greater good, and just stick with it. Not to say that the 1999 animation is bad, but when compared to the kind of stuff they pull in the 2011 it's no contest. And hisoka's voice. And since character development adds value to the storyline, I don't find any of 1999 version filler honestly.. One Piece and DBZ, those have obvious filler, HxH though, not so muchPersonally I prefer the 2011 version, but I don't see one version as being inherently "better" than the other, both have good and bad points. The old one made a good job in expanding the short source material they had to work with, and didn't extend the filler so much as to get bothersome. Not only does it not have any filler, but the animation is god like. This video is unavailable. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcutsCookies help us deliver our Services.
